Not sure my terminology is correct - what I mean is that windows that don't have a "close/maximize/minimize" and such cannot be moved by grabbing the title bar. One has to use 'alt' with the mouse to move them.

To fix this, libwnck needs to be updated to support dialog windows. I haven't had time to do that yet.

I was wrong, dialog windows should also go in the client list property and libwnck then deals with them as other windows and everything works just fine. Fixed in CVS.

No more CVS updates for Xgl / compiz according to aj.
Sorry.
If I've got some time, I can try to create a patch for this issue.

As soon as 10.1 is out, I will put updated packes on the web.

That's a shame, seems there are still a lot of good bug fixes going into cvs and compiz still has some usability issues for me - like sloppy focus, sometimes it goes a little nuts and selects windows that are hidden by others. Should I open another bug report for that, or is that a known bug?

aj, I would go for packaging and testing the current CVS version if I have a GO. But only then.

Only if that CVS snapshot only contains this bugfix, we're conservative now.

Seems a little strange to be so conservative with something as new as compiz, there's still lots of bug fixes going into it. Looking at the CVS log seems to confirm that. But hey, not my call. I can always build my own packages if need be :-)

No, there have been quite some changes. Most of them (almost all) are bugfixes, but some are quite involved.  It also needs a different Mesa (inside compiz, only), the same goes for Xgl.

Yes, exactly, that's the problem. When do you define a CVS version as stable? You just *have* to stick to a version on one time and only do incremental updates only.

Yes, but if 99% of the changes are bug fixes then... But I'll leave that to you, you are the better judge of that of course.
