Description Stefan Scheler 2006-03-14 11:10:40 UTC
I'm trying to use a bluetooth headset with kdebluetoothd. The device shows up as "<unknown service>Bluetooth Headset Profile" and on "Open with" it gives the error message "is a folder but a file was expected error".

The headset identifies itself via sdp as follows:

Service RecHandle: 0x10000
Service Class ID List:
  "Headset" (0x1108)
  "Generic Audio" (0x1203)
Protocol Descriptor List:
  "L2CAP" (0x0100)
  "RFCOMM" (0x0003)
    Channel: 1
Profile Descriptor List:
  "Headset" (0x1108)
    Version: 0x0100

Please fix :) and let me know if you need any further information.

Status?

Reporter/Stefan: still valid with most recent builds (RC1/RC2)
Comment 2 Daniel Gollub 2006-04-23 13:01:06 UTC
This problem is also discussed upstream (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123607). I am not able to fix this bug in time. There have to be done to much changes in the kio module.
Comment 3 Stefan Behlert 2006-09-13 12:12:09 UTC
We should fix this for openSUSE10.2.
Comment 4 Stephan Kulow 2007-05-04 10:35:47 UTC
I thought it is fixed. Daniel, please verify
Comment 5 Daniel Gollub 2007-05-04 12:02:10 UTC
It will be fixed in the kdebluetooth-dbus-integration branch .. we plan to replace kdebluetooth with the kdebluetooth-dbus-integration for Alpha4.
Comment 6 Daniel Gollub 2007-06-12 07:07:02 UTC
kio_sdp got upstream updated to suppress SDP records which don't have any MIME type file with a configured known application. Checkin into stable -> Alpha5
