Description andy norrie 2006-03-14 13:41:04 UTC
Can I possibly make a suggestion regarding Opensuse? If we want to attract people away from M*soft products we need a really good install. One thing missing is that Suse does not add programs to the program menu in the way windoze does. I can sellect an application to install but after that I have no idea how to start it! We either need a registering of applications for easy start as in windoze or at least a help file telling a user how to start a program. I hope that makes sense?

Most KDE-packages have an entry for the kmenue and supposibly the same applies for gnome. However it doesn't make sense to add entries for all programs and tools to the menu.

If you think a certain application should add such an entry but doesn't, please name it. In general this is done already.
