Description Ladislav Michnovic 2006-03-14 20:06:57 UTC
I have in GRUB booting menu option floppy. It was created automaticly by the installation. When I choose this option in menu, it started the reading the floppy diskette and writes:
chainloader (fd0)+1
Boot failed .
If I change the boot priority in BIOS to floppy, it boot-ups from the same diskette without any problems.

Hm, seems to be a problem for Torsten ... ?
Comment 2 Torsten Duwe 2006-04-18 12:58:53 UTC
Indeed. Is this reproducible in qemu?
What are the contents of the floppy?
I hope hwinfo isn't needed.
Comment 3 Ladislav Michnovic 2006-04-19 12:18:38 UTC
I never used qemu. But i tried it on 3 different computers with the same result.
The content of floppy: memtest, 1 diskette live linux, ms dos.

You're correct. DX doesn't seem to get passed correctly.

rootnoverify (fd0)
chainloader +1

however works.
Comment 5 Torsten Duwe 2006-04-20 17:41:03 UTC
Fixed.
