xen-libs was split from xen-tools recently (don't have that bugzilla # handy, but there was a reason for doing so). But now xen-tools requires xen-libs:
> rpm -qp --requires /opt/SuSE/data/CDs/full-x86_64/suse/x86_64/xen-tools.rpm
xen-libs
...etc...
Maybe the installer is not tracking dependencies correctly? Or, perhaps, is xen-libs not included on the CD?
I installed from 'factory', and xen-libs is not included there. The missing dependency was listed correctly. AFAIR the shared libs were missed by the installer. Rudi, please add the package xen-libs to all media that have xen-tools including the factory tree. For now I updated http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:Most_Annoying_Bugs#SUSE_Linux_10.1_Beta8 and uploaded the package to the ftp server. xen-libs is in status "candidate", not in "production" yet (request is pending) It is now production. Looks like this is fixed for Beta 8 and beyond. |
