When I was running SL 10.0 until very recently, I had 4 workspaces configured.

Now there is only one.

Fortunately, there is an easy workaround: right click on the single workspace shown at the bottom-right of my screen (why is the workspace shown if there's only one, anyway?  Seems like a waste of space.), and increase the number.
