Description Matthias Hopf 2006-05-11 11:08:58 UTC
In continuation to bug #152730 (Massive XRender corruption...):

The fix in attachment #82989 [details] only fixes the issue completely for Xorg 7.0. In CVS code another bug seems to be triggered, which renders the background of the pressentation in attachment #79184 [details] as black (not white), and it doesn't render the background image of attachment #69742 [details] at all.

Upstream this is discussed in xorg bugzilla https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6827

As CVS code (aka: Xorg 7.1) will not be used before SL 10.2, this is not critical yet.

Looks like it might be problem of cairo, see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=174507
Comment 2 Stefan Dirsch 2006-08-02 07:56:41 UTC
Since we switch to X.Org 7.1 for 10.2 Alpha3 I set this to critical, so it won't get lost.
Comment 3 Radek Doulik 2006-08-02 08:16:01 UTC
We have already workaround for that in OOo => closing

NOTE: The problem itself wasn't in RENDER, but in cairo. It is fixed in 1.2.x iirc, thus might be good idea to switch to newer cairo for 10.2 too.
