For now this are the following packages: - Mesa (#175683) - xorg-x11-driver-video (#173936, #175564) - xorg-x11-driver-video-nvidia (#175683) - xorg-x11 (#173901) - xorg-x11-libs (#167317) (WIP) - xorg-x11-server (#172260, #166112, #152730, #171453/WIP) Another one: - 3ddiag (#178853) And: xkeyboard-config (Bug #158951, X.Org Bug #4411) Another one: xorg-x11-man (Bug #185707) > Another one:
> xorg-x11-man ( Bug #185707)
I decided to add the manual pages to the Mesa-devel package instead.
Summary: - xorg-x11: * xorg-x11 * xorg-x11-libs * xorg-x11-server - xorg-x11-driver-video: * xorg-x11-driver-video * xorg-x11-driver-video-nvidia - xkeyboard-config - Mesa: * Mesa * Mesa-devel - 3ddiag 3ddiag: - also check for the nvidia driver in new updates path (Bug #178853) Mesa: (Mesa/Mesa-devel) - fixed libGLcore.so.1 (e.g. soname); required to create a non-conflicting package for the NVIDIA driver (Bug #175683) - no longer remove NVIDIA driver in %pre - added missing manual pages (Bug #185707) xkeyboard-config: - added support for "Canada - Multilingual" keyboard (Bug #158951) xorg-x11: (xorg-x11-libs/xorg-x11-server-glx/xorg-x11-server/xorg-x11-Xnest) - added support for disabling extensions through environment variables (Bug #167317) - no longer remove NVIDIA installer in %pre of xorg-x11-server-glx, since it's no longer conflicting with the NVIDIA driver package (Bug #175683) - fixed broken BIOS reading (due to changes in recent Linux kernels), which is required for dual card support (Bug #171453, X.Org Bug #6751) - ignores the X error on GetImage in Xnest (Bug #174228) - initialize PCI tag correctly, which is used by an IA64 specific patch (see Bug #147261 for details); fixes Xserver crashes with fglrx driver - and possibly other drivers like vesa - during initial startup (!), VT switch and startup of second Xserver (SLED10 Blocker Bugs #180535, #170991, #158806) xorg-x11-driver-video (xorg-x11-driver-video/xorg-x11-driver-video-nvidia) - fixed Radeon 7000 BIOS problem (Bug #173936, X.Org Bug #6872) - disables RenderAccel on RN 50 (Bug #175564) - no longer remove NVIDIA driver in %pre of xorg-x11-driver-video-nvidia; it no longer conflicts with NVIDIA driver package (Bug #175683) - added alternative i810 driver (Bug #179773) - hopefully remaining issues for G200_SE fixed (Bug #159815) - New chip support for NVIDIA devices (Bug #186055) - fixed Xserver crash with MGA G200 SE GPUs on i386 by disabling the use of Hallib (Blocker Bug #187708) Andreas, could you add SWAMPIDs for - 3ddiag - xkeyboard-config - xorg-x11 - xorg-x11-driver-video xorg-x11/xorg-x11-driver-video updates are mandatory for working ATI/NVIDIA drivers installed via the kernel update process (once we get this for 10.1). 3ddiag update is mandatory for a working Xgl setup. xkeyboard-config is optional. MaintenanceTracker-5043 Please wait a week - the kernel update will go out the next 10 days if possible. I would also like to see a 10.1 update for SaX2. Since this is also mandatory for working ATI/NVIDIA drivers installed via the kernel update process (once we get this for 10.1) I assume we can use the same SWAMPID for this. I'll provide a patchinfo file. Yes, use the same swamp-id for it. Created attachment 92591 [details] sax2.patchinfo I'm not sure about the package list. Marcus, could you check this line? Changes: - added new NVidia devices (#186055) - using multix variant for multilinugual canadian keyboard mapping by now; problems with non-existing ISO_Level5_* characters has been resolved in xorg-x11/xkeyboard-config (Bug #158951, X.Org Bug #4411) - added multilinugual canadian keyboard mapping (Bug #158951) - fixed nvidia binary check (#179934) - fixed wrong tool path (#179758) - added missing display size values (#176328) - fixed handling of "KernelModuleParm" option (#170698) - fixed update case SLES9 -> SLES10. Added a split provides for sax2-gui referring to /usr/X11R6/lib/sax/xapi (#175161) - enhancement: added update directory for Identity.map files. A user can put a file named *Identity.map* file into the directory /usr/share/sax/sysp/maps/update. The map there is searched for graphics cards first. It is possible to add support for new cards or overwrite an old entry with this file (#163803) Created attachment 92605 [details]

Marcus, see my comment #11-13. There were several changes between 10.1 GM and the current SLE tree. I would suggest to update all packages as currently listed in the patchinfo file. Stefan could you copy the patchinfo to /work/src/done/PATCHINFO as soon as you want the update process to start. Thanks done. Some of the patchinfo files are still named "<...>.NOT_YET" since the according packages (Mesa, xorg-x11) has not been checked in yet. I'll close this bugreport once they have been checked in. Meanwhile Mesa/xorg-x11 has been checked in. "<...>".NOT_YET patchinfo files have been renamed. Hopefully we'll see updates for 10.1/SLE10 pretty soon. Closin as FIXED. |
