Description Alexander Nolting 2006-07-26 22:03:30 UTC
I've tried to setup my Intel 3945 ABG and ALI wired NIC with different IP, DNS and Route informations. After saving them, closing the network configuration manager and reopen the network configuration only the IP adress of each NIC is different. On Route and DNS configuration page you will see the last!!! entered data. Switching to ifup with SCPM is also no good idea cause it is in this distribution very unstable and hangs several times as it wants to save a new configuration or to switch to another configuration.

This actually appears to be a yast issue since that is the network configuration information NM links to.

Hello JP,

i've did some test before I opened this bug report, and had seen that the last entered information is set up to both interfaces. Yast didn't store seperate entrys.

Regards
Alex

Re-reading this I think shared DNS and Route information is intentional and there is a feature request to solve this, but I'll let the Yast team confirm.
