Description Thomas Tempelmann 2006-08-09 15:19:10 UTC
In my setup of opensuse 10.1 I found the automatic update function not working. The crontab command issued by Yast is: rug up -t patch (I also tried it with the added option "skip interactive patches", but that made no difference)

When I executed this cmd manually, I found that it asked for a confirmation interactively, and its default was "N" (no).

I then manually changed the crontab entry by appending the "-y" option. After that, the automatic update succeeded.

Hence, I wonder if this option shouldn't always be added, or otherwise automatic updates might fail for others as well?

In my case, it appeared that without this "-y" option, rug would _never_ succeed in updating anything, making the entire auto update feature non-working and useless to me.
