Yast2 logs
Only y2log changed.
blackbird.suse.de has SUSE Linux 10.1 (64bit machine) and I have this problem: /sbin/yast: line 233: 4006 Speicherzugriffsfehler $ybindir/y2base menu ncurses $NCTHREADS This occurs during generation of the printer database. Before I forget: this machine is very unstable (hardware problems). Login and debug should be reduced to a minimum. I have installed all updates. Christoph Thiel got the same bug. (on SLED 10) Stefan Fent told me that he has also a segfault but a different error message (a quotation from a mail which I got from Stefan): -------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Alpha4plus): g159:~ # yast2 printer /sbin/yast2: line 233: 29332 Abgebrochen $ybindir/y2base $module "$@ " qt "$Y2_GEOMETRY" $Y2QT_ARGS y2log: [...] 2006-10-12 17:02:12 <1> g159(29332) [YCP] Printerdb.ycp:340 Checking foomatic database 2006-10-12 17:02:12 <1> g159(29332) [YCP] Printerdb.ycp:343 Database changed 2006-10-12 17:02:12 <1> g159(29332) [agent-ppd] PPDdb.cc(createdbThread):419 CreateDbThread started 2006-10-12 17:02:12 <1> g159(29332) [agent-ppd] PPDdb.cc(loadPrebuiltDatabase):1439 Database file parsed correctly by YCP parser 2006-10-12 17:02:12 <1> g159(29332) [agent-ppd] PPDdb.cc(loadPrebuiltDatabase):1670 Database contents is OK -------------------------------------------------------------------------- For me this does not look like a segfault but nevertheless I posted it to have you informed. just another yast2 printer crash
I don't know if all those crashes have the same reason or if they are all different.
I only want to have you informed
(the more data the more hope to find the actual reason ;-)
This is what it does on my machine (x86_64, alpha5) Command: /sbin/yast2 printer & Segmentation fault at Printerdb.ycp:376 /sbin/yast2: line 233: 11218 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module "$@" qt "$Y2_GEOMETRY" $Y2QT_ARGS silviu:~ # rpm -q yast2-printer yast2-printer-2.14.2-7 delete /var/lib/YaST2/ppd_db.ycp file and start printer module database will be rebuilded correctly *** Bug 210913 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 214586 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 214265 *** |
