Description Michael Brasse 2006-09-27 05:09:31 UTC
After getting into gnome (root login at console, starting xdm, login from there) it is not possible to su or to gnomesu from a gnome terminal window.

The output is:

mbrasse@sandmann:~> su
Password:
su: nscd_initgroups.c:94: __nscd_getgrouplist: Assertion `initgr_resp->ngrps > 0' failed.
Aborted

Other people have the same problem.

Might be related to https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=208272 but it is not sure.

Also could have to do with the pam problems reported in https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=206963 in case that didn't make it to the factory tree yet.
