Description Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2006-10-05 07:42:56 UTC
I tried installing from an usb harddrive on an older Notebook with only USB1.1 ports. So i wanted to use my cardbus usb2 card. This only works if i give "insmod=ehci_hcd" since the automatic hardware probing apparently only probes for USB controllers before activating pcmcia.

The workaround is easy: "insmod=ehci_hcd". Maybe this is just a documentation issue; i am not suggesting to change the (probably fragile?) hardware probing setup for such corner cases:-)
