Description Markus Kriewald 2006-12-24 14:16:40 UTC
Often Konqueror can not open http://localhost:631/ (Common Unix Printing System 1.2.7) if Knetworkmanger is running. When Konqueror is able to load this page and i press the reload button i will get: An error occurred while loading http://localhost:631/: Could not connect to host http://localhost:631/.

Firefox is able to open this url all time. Konqueror can open localhost without any problems if Knetworkmanger is not runnig.

kio (KRun): ERROR: 0x684c60 ERROR (stat) : 23 Could not connect to host http://localhost:631/.
ASSERT: "!icon.isEmpty()" in ./libkonq/konq_pixmapprovider.cc (81)
ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib/libaoss.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.

Looks like an issue caused by Will's network status patch.

Comment 5 Will Stephenson 2007-01-08 13:41:10 UTC
Right, the network status code in the http kioslave blocks every access when the network is down.

The workaround is to run "kcmshell kcmkded" and disable the network status module.

Is this a problem when knetworkmanager is running and the network connected or running and the network is disconnected?
Comment 6 Markus Kriewald 2007-01-08 19:28:29 UTC
This is only a problem when knetworkmanager is running and the network is disconnected.
Comment 7 Will Stephenson 2007-04-14 12:54:13 UTC
Fix is ready for 10.2 update and committed upstream, will be picked up in next branch update for 10.3.
