Description Norman Schmidt 2007-03-24 23:58:24 UTC
In 64bit environmants, other distributions (like Debian, see http://mail.kde.org/pipermail/freenx-knx/2005-September/002192.html) report the nxagent to segfault.
The same is true for openSuSE10.2. After sorting out some other problems, the nxclient (from Windows) can connect to the freenx nxserver on the OpenSuSe machine. However, when the X screen starts to get exported, one only can see the nx logo for a very short time, then (on the client side) gives an error message that the connection was disconnected. /var/log/mesages shows the nxagent to have segfaulted (e.g. Mar 25 00:36:19 Rossweisse kernel: nxagent[4770]: segfault at ffffffffffffffe4 rip 00002b9e586aa7f5 rsp 00007fff5344c490
 error 6).

One sugested fix (for Debian) is to use the 32bit packet. How?
