No interest, closing... I'm not sure there's "no interest". There are two parts to this bug: the dialog is from metacity, and is widely regarded as annoying, and there's an upstream bug suggesting we do something about it: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160712 The fact that firefox doesn't support XSMP, and so (a) can't save its state in a way that metacity recognizes, and (b) thinks its been closed unexpectedly even if you log out cleanly, is also filed upstream: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93789 Dan, Thanks for the information. I'll re-open this one and add the upstream bug number(s)... Can't find how to mark it as an upstream bug... Can someone please do that... The XSMP part should be followed in bug 227047. Dan, I leave it to you to solve this for the metacity bit. There is an upstream patch for the mozilla piece thats been comitted to trunk, not sure if its back portable. Wolfgang, Maw what do you think Let's leave this bug as the metacity component of the bug, with Bug #227047 as the firefox component, with the question in Comment #7 to be answered there. We're letting metacity upstream handle this much. It's only a significant issue because firefox exposes it. Re-opening to mark as upstream Closing again as RESOLVED/UPSTREAM. |
