Description Aaron Mulder 2007-04-06 21:04:36 UTC
Using a ThinkPad T60p Core 2 Duo.

When I suspend to RAM and then resume, it immediately suspends to RAM again during the resume. Then on the second resume, it actually resumes.

Likewise, when I suspend to disk, on resume, it reloads all the pages, then suspends to disk again. On the second resume it actually resumes.

I suspect this was caused by recent changes to power saving. On SuSE 10.2 when I suspend and then resume, I'm greeted by a dialog that says the system couldn't suspend due to some kind of media issue and do I want to cancel or continue. If I hit continue, it suspends again. My speculation is that in 10.3 this dialog has been eliminated so it just suspends twice.

Needless to say I'd prefer if each suspend or resume only happened once.
