Description Casual J. Programmer 2007-07-20 10:10:35 UTC
After a clean install from alpha6 DVD the wireless configuration is missing completely from yast2 lan.

Workaround: yast2 sysconfig or manually editing /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth1

Test it with alpha6+ and put feedback here, please
Comment 4 Casual J. Programmer 2007-07-24 14:22:10 UTC
Nothing changed :-(

Kernel 2.6.22.1-3-default, openSUSE 10.3 ( i586 ) Alpha6plus
Comment 5 Michal Zugec 2007-07-24 14:42:12 UTC
Can you download (via ethernet) last yast2-network package from factory and test it again?
Comment 6 Casual J. Programmer 2007-07-24 15:04:54 UTC
workstation6l:/home/cjp/Download # rpm -Uvh yast2-network-2.15.49-2.i586.rpm
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
        package yast2-network-2.15.49-2 is already installed
workstation6l:/home/cjp/Download # yast2
Command: /sbin/yast2 lan &

No wireless configuration is offered :-(

This used to show up after the "normal" configuration was done, in some kind of "intermediate" step. It's not there.

Can you try this (last version)?

This looks good.
Comment 9 Michal Zugec 2007-07-24 17:41:49 UTC
From your verbose explanation in comment #8 ;-) I suppose that it works and problem is fixed.
Comment 10 Casual J. Programmer 2007-07-24 17:56:51 UTC
Exactly :-)
