Description Jan Karjalainen 2007-08-10 19:49:19 UTC
During installation, when downloading package patterns, the progress window looks like this:
------------------------------------------------------|
|                       Downloading                   |
| Downloading: http://download.opensuse.org./..."     |
|  |||||||||||||45%.................................. |
|                     |Abort|                         |
------------------------------------------------------|

The heading "Downloading" should be more descriptive, like "Requiring/Downloading/Accessing package patterns" or something like that.
Just so less technical users don't wonder why it's downloading all the packages that flash by just above the progress bar (they are patterns judging by the file extensions, right?).

On a side note, my installation did this twice, first when I opted to add repositories in the very beginning of the installation procedure, and then a second time during Network Configuration. It took another good 10 minutes...

We already handle this issue as a feature request, which did not get it into 10.3 and will be handled for further releases. The intention is to rewrite the way user is reported about the progress.

Therefore marking as duplicate of one of the other similar bugs.
