Hi, I have exactly the same problem with my installation of SuSE 10.3 Beta 1. After upgrade from Alpha7 to Beta1 the system cannot boot up again, it hangs with the following error messages: ata1: port is slow to respond, please be patient (Status 0xd0) ata1: softreset failed (device not ready). Clean install of Beta1 also failed. Yast give me message "no hard disk found". I have Dell Ispiron 1501, with ATI Radeon RS480 chipset. Greetings, Piotr Miszczak Andreas, Piotr, please post the result of 'lspci -nn' from a working installation or command console during installation (ctrl-alt-f4) in bug 299010. Thanks. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 299010 *** |
