Description Bryan Perry 2007-08-13 20:17:01 UTC
We have 3 new 64 bit machines with the Asus M2A-VM HDMI motherboard. SLED10-SP1 installs fine, but when trying to install openSuSE 10.3 Alpha7 the ahci driver fails to load and yast is unable to detect any hard disks. The storage chipset on the board is ATI SB600 supporting 1 Ultra DMA 133/100/66/33 interface and 4 Serial ATA 3.0 Gb/s drives in standalone or RAID 0, 1, or 10 configurations.

The CPU is AMD Athlon 64 X2 and the main chipset is Northbridge: AMD 690 G, Southbridge: ATI SB600

I will gather up and attach the Y2logs as soon as I can get back to that machine.

Thanks. Please report the result of 'lspci -nn' in bug 299010.
