During install, after reboot the machine does not resume installation program.  I've seen this on a ThinkPad T43 and a Dell OptiPlex GX260 (two tries). The symptoms are that X flickers once or twice, and I'm then dropped back to a console where "root" is not accepted as login.

Attached y2logs were taken by booting from a different partition and tarring the contents of /var/log/YaST.
