additional comments:
when starting with default linux : no problem (2nd boot menu entry)
the problem happens when starting with Xen (1rst boot menu entry)
this was the case when the system rebooted after install.
While numlock and alt-F1 do not work, I can still use ctrl-alt-prtscrn-b to reboot
Could this be a duplicate of Bug #300496? Sounds at least very similar, apart from CPU which is here AMD dual core : vendor_id : AuthenticAMD cpu family : 15 model : 107 model name : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+ stepping : 1 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 300496 *** |
Created attachment 174708 [details] ps -ef after login on graphical display, keyboard no more usable (numlock has no effect on LED / Alt-F1 does not work) in /var/log/boot.msg : Failed services in runlevel 5: kbd but mouse moves cursor over screen (X11 startup splash) could login over ssh : ps -ef shows Xorg 99% cpu usage
