Just to be clear, how exactly are you trying to shut down the machine? Through a GUI interface? If so, which one? Do commands such as "/sbin/halt" or "/sbin/shutdown -h now" show the same problem? It's when I try to shutdown frome "GNOME" in the "GUI" and when I try to shutdown from the "CLI", I've tried "shutdown -h now" and "shutdown -h -P now", same problem. I've "Googled" the problem a bit, so I've tried to set "acpi=force" in the "menu.lst", still same problem. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 331747 *** |
