Thanks. And, I suppose that the sound works basically as far as I see these entries? If so, I'll toss this bug to GNOME guys... Yes, otherwise there are no apparent problems, except Bug 340516 which seems to be fixed by now. OK, thanks. Going to push this to rodrigo. We should revisit this as the pulse audio stuff comes in. This works for me in latest factory. Casual? Same here, only wav files under tab "Sounds" are not playing at all ( error.wav, logout.wav, login.wav ) Notebook: Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Si 1520 Graphics: Fujitsu Siemens Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Monitor: QUANTADISPLAY LCD Monitor 1280x800@60Hz Wireless: Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection Sound: 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller Desktop: gnome2-SuSE-11.0-5 YaST GUI: yast2-qt-2.16.42-3 OS: openSUSE 11.0 (i586) Beta2 VERSION = 11.0 Kernel: 2.6.25-19-pae rpm -qa | grep alsa | sort alsa-1.0.16-29 alsa-oss-1.0.15-40 alsa-plugins-1.0.16-41 alsa-utils-1.0.16-28 This may be a new bug though, please advise. Casual, Yes, it'd be a different bug. Also, check to make sure that pulseaudio is running by clicking on the volume applet, then manager. If it says "Can not connect" run pulseaudio from a terminal (as yourself, not as root) and try again. |
