Description Magnus Boman 2007-11-15 13:07:14 UTC
Please don't have "autocheck" enabled by default when starting YaST2 sw_single. It adds absolutely nothing to functionality but it takes a lot of time since it will always do a dependency check if I add/remove packages and click Accept.

I think that more usable is to make the option persistent, i.e. remember the value for the next run. Some users want the autocheck some not...
Comment 2 Magnus Boman 2007-11-15 13:38:24 UTC
Best option would be to add a variable to /etc/sysconfig/yast2 where it can be enabled. But please please please disable it by default (it even affects new installs, where you get dependency check at least 5 times just by adding or removing one package)
Comment 3 Stefan Hundhammer 2007-11-15 13:45:43 UTC
That would be another setting in the yet-to-be-written UI settings / session management. -> bug #58579
