Description Christian Herr 2007-11-30 15:38:29 UTC
After an update to default kernel 2.6.22.12-0.1 the system hangs when shutting down. The last message that appears is "sending all processes the term signal..." or something similar. After this, there should be an unmount of all devices etc. that never appears. I have to shut of the system manually with the power button. The problem does not appear with KOT (somewhat slower on my system than default kernel) and kernel 2.6.22.9-0.4.
My system is Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop, AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-50, 1GB ram. I'm running KDE 3.5.7 "release 72.2" with opensuse 10.3

Is there a solution ? Waiting for the next kernel ?
Thanks in advance, Christian
