Description Dominique Leuenberger 2007-12-03 09:37:40 UTC
Hi,

once in a while I wish zypper would support something like this:

> zypper up -t package yast2*

Expected behaviour: it checks all my installed yast2* packages and installs newer versions if available.

For the time being I have to "lu -t package" and then "in <a big list>"
Any comment? (Or is it already possible and I did not find it?)

We plan to do this: we want to make zypper update <packages> work via zypper install <packages> and enhance zypper install so that you can specify a group of packages with the help of wildcards and/or regexes.
