Description Justin Haygood 2008-02-21 16:51:01 UTC
The GNOME Main Menu shows only the size in /boot. My / and /home partition sizes aren't included in the space totals. Both / and /home are on LVM2 partitions.

Danny, any progress on hal supporting LVM?
Comment 2 Danny Al-Gaaf 2008-02-29 21:56:59 UTC
No, and specially not for old products. LVM is simply not supported atm and as it looks at the HAL ML there will be no support before the next major rewrite of HAL as the maintainer pointed out (very curious and nobody know what the rewrite will be and when it will happen).

For now I would close it as WONTFIX.

This is fixed for 11.0 and will properly display the correct size for your home partition (and is labeled as such) even if the home partition is an LVM partition. This was done by changing from attempting to enumerate all the available partitions (which is not possible at the moment - see above comments.) to just querying information about the home partition.
