Description Michael Meeks 2008-03-04 11:13:16 UTC
Start cheese, Help -> Contents -> the help browser crashes after spewing a ton of stuff to the console [ this is using factory ].

HTH.
Comment 1 JP Rosevear 2008-03-04 14:01:07 UTC
My cheese has no such menu option, I only have Help->About.
Comment 2 Michael Meeks 2008-03-04 14:29:28 UTC
perhaps in cheese-lang ?
I have 2.21.01 (from help->about), and the last pkg Changelog entry is:

* Tue Feb 19 2008 maw@suse.de
Comment 3 JP Rosevear 2008-03-04 18:38:53 UTC
I have the same build and the -lang package.
Comment 4 Magnus Boman 2008-03-19 08:13:00 UTC
I have Help/Contents but it does not crash. Michael, are you on latest Factory?
Comment 5 Bryen Yunashko 2008-03-19 11:20:52 UTC
It might be a good idea, for testing purposes, to disconnect your cam and then see if this crash doesn't occur. JP and Magnus both are using the gpscav driver and we know that works well with Cheese. But others, like uvcvideo, cause annoying crashes in Cheese.
Comment 6 Magnus Boman 2008-04-03 10:45:17 UTC
Michael?
Comment 7 Michael Meeks 2008-04-03 11:09:04 UTC
Oh, interesting - things improved in the latest factory.

I do help->contents and I get a yelp help browser with:

"Unable to load page"
"The requested URI "help:cheese" is invalid"

re-naming bug.
Comment 8 JP Rosevear 2008-04-03 11:23:50 UTC
No longer critical, Vincent is this because of the missing yelp patches?

I believe so, yes.
