- There is only one place where the user can choose "Diskette..." This is the place where the monitor disk can be inserted. - At the time I don't know a monitor vendor which provides a CD or another medium to hold the .inf file If you can ensure there is a monitor manufacturer which provides a different medium than a disk for the monitor then I will include the possibility to read from this medium, otherwise I see no need why this should be implemented > If you can ensure there is a monitor manufacturer which provides

Well, given that floppies frequently get broken, we have those files on a
central directory where we can access them from all computers using NFS. This is
not exactly a vendor CD though...
ping ;-) What's the status of this ancient feature request? There are no plans to implement this feature - unless someone attaches a patch for SaX2. |
