*** Bug 388014 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I guess the problem is within kmix there are so many assignments for volume up or down. what does kmix look like in kubuntu? my experience with Hardy running gnome was automatic assignment of XF86 keys. Furthermore, the XF86 keys worked, even if a program was minimized, versus in OS11 KDE 4.1 when global shortcuts with amarok only work if playlist window is open. I hope this helps. Recently switched to KDE 3.5.9 and all of my problems, including this one are gone. Therefore, I really feel like maybe the errors are on the KDE side, though there could have been a recent update for the XF86 assignments. Either way, I am happy. Went and checked in the KDE 4.1 environment, still running OpenSUSE 11 and the XF86 keys are not assigned like in 3.5.9. Also, another random reason I switched back to 3.5.9 is that my samba protocols never have issues, while in 4.1 I had problems. It would be great if a graphical or visual progress bar or something like that appear when mute, or volume up or down. I think is useful to see how much you are modifying your volume. rgs. In KDE 3.5 there is a graphical progress bar, now nothing as cool as was in ubuntu, especially with desktop effects. I saw this was marked as solved, or has it just been marked as a duplicate? This bug is about assigning the shortcuts by default, which is apparently fixed. Having an On Screen Display is not a bug but a feature request and since it is nothing openSUSE specific has to be reported upstream, i.e. at bugs.kde.org. *** Bug 382343 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
