Using KDM I can enter my username but as soon as I change to the password entry field the cursor is gone and I cannot type anything. neither in the username field nor in the password field. The system is still responsive and responds as usual to mouse events.

After clicking around a bit this behavior disappears and I can log in. I also could not reproduce this now after the first login was successful.

Maybe this has something to do with the message I got when KDM started the first time after installing telling me my last used session (KDE3) would not be a valid selection any more.
