Description Forgotten User zSppWjup9E 2008-05-18 12:23:00 UTC
In KDE4,when you launch Yast2, there is a bad display of localisation for Walloon locale (wa).
In the Control Centre, the top menus are in English. The modules icons are well localised (when translation is done). If you launch one of the module, it's launched in English (buttons and content).

If you open a console and that you launch "# yast2", top menus are in Walloon, module icons as well. If you launch a module which is translated, it appears in Walloon (buttons and content).

So, it seems to be a KDE4 problem.

(For information, the same behaviour occurs in openSUSE 10.3 with all KDE 4.0.x, it works well with KDE 3.5.x, I'll check it with KDE 3.5.x and Gnome in 11.0)

I installed KDE3 and Gnome and I confirm, this bug happens only with KDE4

Is there anything new/resolved? My internet connection has been cut by error at home till 12 june. I can't test the RC before 11.0 release.
Could anyone tell me if this bug has been worked on?
It could maybe have influence to other languages as well.

Cheers

Still present in final version.
The only way to get it in the right language is use the command:
LANGUAGE=wa:fr;yast2

Could affect other languages.

This bug is still present on KDE 4.0.x
However, on the openSUSE 11.0 with KDE 4.1 RC1, this bug doesn't appear anymore.
