- Clean install of RC3 of opensuse 11.0, selected gnome desktop during install
- Logged into user account after install finished
- Started application browser from gnome main menu
- Right clicked on icon for Cheese
- Selected Uninstall from popup menu
- Entered root password when prompted.
- several yast software management screens appeared and closed without requiring any input.
- after last yast window closed I checked and the cheese package had been removed.

When this feature was implemented using zen-remover in SLED 10 the user was presented with a summary window of the packages that would be removed. the packages were not actually removed until the user clicked the Remove button. 

Generally I think there should be some type of confirmation from the user before removing the package(s)

how interesting; can you try switching to use the QT UI with /etc/sysconfig/yast and seeing if the problem recurs ?

changing WANTED_GUI="qt" in /etc/sysconfig/yast did not seem to make a difference in this case, I still was not prompted to confirm removing the package. I verified that the setting was working since I did get the qt interface for package management when I started it directly from yast.
