Note: Restarting X11, and thus also KDE does not help; only a full reboot does! Using a PC from 1999; could ACPI be a reason (had to be set to acpi=force for proper shutdown)? Does this happen since installation (or did you upgrade)?
Can you please post backtraces with qt3-debuginfo package installed?

Strange, and how long does it work then? What makes the error reoccur?
I did a fresh install, using the NET-install disc! I will install ~qt3-debuginfo~ now... Until now it only happened to me once! Problem occured right after boot, Konqueror did not even load for background instance; crashed immediately. I will report if it occurs again then (with "qt3-debuginfo" ;-) Q: Why isn't any suitable debugging package like "qt3-debuginfo" installed by default? Will be difficult to reproduce a better backtrace if the error doesn't happen twice. :-) A: Because there are huge to download and installed. perhaps it happened due to some online update being installed. feel free to reopen when you get the issue again. |
