Hello,

when you try "mount /windows" everything is OK ? no errors or something ?

Thanks
Comment 3 Rastislav Krupansky 2008-07-01 18:41:03 UTC
Yes, everything is ok.I can mount ntfs partition correctly for example to /mnt.
But, after a few days of testing i'm sure this happens only if windows isn't shutdown correctly. If i shutdown windows correctly via start button, it works. If i shutdown windows directly with power button(hold on), it doesn't work.

Please next time remove NEEDINFO status by selecting "This comment/attachment
provides ..." checkbox after supplying needed information. Suppose mounting is done in /etc/init.d/boot.localfs.
Comment 5 Ruediger Oertel 2008-07-16 13:46:40 UTC
I think this happens on purpose. If the shutdown was not done cleanly
the filesystem will not be mounted automatically to prevent data corruption.

Bernd, is that true ?
Comment 6 Andreas Jaeger 2008-10-24 11:17:49 UTC
Rudi: It makes sense at least...
Comment 7 Vincent Untz 2008-10-29 14:47:13 UTC
Rudi: yeah, that's what is happening, I think. See also bug 309074 which is more or less the same problem.
