Description Robert Lewis 2008-07-06 14:47:51 UTC
I find myself expanding the field within YaST2 Installed (Available) as it is to small to display all the information everytime I go to this screen. The Size field. to the right, is way to big and can be shrunk to allow for a default larger field size for the Installed (Available) field. It would be nice also to have the field changes done by the user to stick between sessions. Please see the screen shot attached.

Also, on another note, a package that is offering a newer version to download
when it is highlighted masks out the blue flag that tells me something is available. I don't have a suggestion how to fix that but perhaps some symbol on the extreme left or right denoting a update is available would work.

Waiting for the screenshot.

Notice how small the Installed (Available) field is and how bigg the Size field is on this screen. I am getting information within the Available part of the field cut off. In the previous version, 10.3) this wasn't the case and the entire line was in blue when an update was available.

I can confirm this and it is really annoying ! Especially when using smaller resoultions like 1024x768...

Comment 5 Frank Schäfer 2008-09-03 14:24:15 UTC
Ok, this is open-source, so instead of complaining and waiting for somebody else doing it one day, I will try to fix it by myself...
Where can I get the source-code from and where do I have to look at (where do I find the QT-GUI-related parts of package manager) ? I know the YaST code isn't small...
Any startup-help is appreciated !
