I don't see any problem in the Yast logs - the online update during installation was fine. The first start of 'online_update' module failed because another yast instance was running. The second start of 'online_update' was with ncurses UI and it was successful. No crash in the log at all. Thomas, there might be a problem in the updater applet, I'm passing the bug to you... (In reply to comment #1 from Ladislav Slezak) > Thomas, there might be a problem in the updater applet, I'm passing the bug to > you... When a dependency conflict occurs the updater isn't able to solve it and exits without error message. This problem is known. See #399661. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 399661 *** |
Created attachment 229346 [details] YaST2 logs I suspect these two are related; I attempted to install the patches listed in software updates applet, and the don't install after entering the root password. and attempting to use the GTK Software Management module to install packages results in it crashing when the install button was clicked. I was able to use the NCuses UI to install the updates-there was a dependency issue with desktop-data-openSUSE-extra-gnome, so I didn't install that update, and the others appear to have installed. I'm using KDE 3.59. Yast Logs after the successful console mode update are attached. I need to reboot now, as it updated the Kernel ;)
