Description Holger Macht 2008-11-25 09:10:03 UTC
This is related to bug 355503 and gtk2-bnc355503-file-chooser-remember-geometry.diff. The file chooser dialog in Firefox jumps when moved to another position. How to reproduce.

1. Click on arbitary link with you right mouse button -> "Save Link As..."
2. Move the dialog to another position
3. Click into the list view and see that the dialog jumps to its old position.

gtk2.changes contains:

* Thu Nov 06 2008 federico@novell.com
- Added gtk2-bnc355503-file-chooser-remember-geometry.diff to fix
  https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=355503 - The file
  chooser now remembers its window size across invocations, so it does
  not have to be resized every time.

So directly assigning to federico@novell.com

Just to add my original description as well;

Choose to download a file (right click and say Save Link As..."), then click on
"Browse to other folders". You will notice that the dialog box is very small,
so resize it so you can properly see your folders. Now, click on a folder (any
folder) and see how firefox resizes the dialog box back to it's original size.

That's the same as bug 445923, isn't it?
