Description Forgotten User WYqD73zI_T 2008-12-23 21:31:54 UTC
On opensuse 11.1 i586 or x86_64, I can't use my Brother HL-1050.
yast2 said :" no matching driver found" ???
In the in the old version of opensuse, it worked well !
I test it with usb or lpt#1 and with i586 or x86_64 of opensuse 11.1 !

Reassigning to yast2-printer maintainer.

There is no need to shout at us (using exclamation marks)
when you simply failed to find a driver manually.

When I enter "1050" as the model info in YaST
and then press [Show matching frivers],
I get many drivers for the Brother HL-1050.

Sorry, I did not want to shout about you

But I found the interface is not very user friendly.

When I install my printer, yast2 put the name of the model : "Brother HL-1050 series" and yast put "No matching driver found"
I push on "Show matching driver" but without effect !

How to use the interface ?
I don't change the proposition of yast2.

yast2 can not assign the right driver to its own proposal

For me, it is a problem !
NB : an other visual problem :
1) in "Determine connexion", we can not change the size of the fields
2) the buttons "Show Matching Drivers" and "Add Driver" are too high

I send you (soon) an exemple for the interface (a mockup)
