Description Marvin Dean 2004-12-10 17:44:13 UTC
Command to print the document never makes it to the
printer using the print command kprinter --stdin as
default. This is happening on Suse Novell desktop.
Probably a defect with eclipse. Marking minor and
will most likely spawn child defect on Eclipse.

Ryan- Can you please look at this defect. Thanks
Comment 2 Forgotten User C1r2QIwDyb 2004-12-10 23:00:53 UTC
It looks like this is a known problem with Eclipse...
Comment 3 Forgotten User C1r2QIwDyb 2005-01-05 20:44:50 UTC
There is nothing that I can do to fix this problem for now.
I'd like to move it to milestone 3 so I can spend a little
more time investigating it...
Comment 4 Forgotten User C1r2QIwDyb 2005-01-05 23:03:29 UTC
This is being moved to milestone 2.1

We need more information on this. I believe that if we just get the correct
command to issue to Mozilla, it will work. Marvin, will you research this some
more? Thanks!
Comment 6 Marvin Dean 2005-03-02 21:53:40 UTC
I can print from mozilla with the command lpr -P<printer name>. This works on
Mozilla 1.6 (The version included with designer) When first running Mozilla
from the designer/mozilla directory the print command was set incorrectly so I
hoped that changing it to use lpr would fix the problem but unfortunately it did
not. I did notice that even when printing to file from designer does not work.
I should be able to do this.
Comment 7 Marvin Dean 2005-03-02 21:55:18 UTC
Also print from the file menu menu is always disabled in Linux, on windows we
can print things like the modeler screen and text editor screens but we cannot
do this in linux.

This is directly related to Eclipse bug 24796. They don't have a planed or
proposed fix until sometime later this year. There are many, many more details
in that bug...

This will be fixed when Eclipse fixes the Linux printing problems.
