User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; cs-CZ; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090730 SUSE/3.5.2-2.1 Firefox/3.5.2

Environment:
------------
* vmWare machine (vmWare Server 2.0), default installation of oS 11.2 M6 from i586 DVD. No updates from factory.
* vncserver with default settings (port 5901) - started from /etc/xinet.d/vnc

Problem:
--------
When you try login into system thru vncviewer and gdm (tested from openSUSE 11.1), gnome-settings-daemon crashes right after password input. Independently from selected graphical environment (Gnome or KDE).

If I use vmWare Console (which is same like local login), there is no problem with gnome-settings-deamon.

You can use my virtual machine which is public accessible. Details in "Steps to Reproduce"

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. connect to leon.i-tux.cz:1 with vncviewer
2. select user virtual (password virtual, same is for root)
3. select Gnome or KDE and login to system

Can you start gconf-editor (GNOME Configuration Editor), go to apps/gnome_settings_daemon/plugins/xrandr and uncheck "Active" then try again. Does it still crash?

No answer, so closing. Please reopen if you can reproduce on a recent version of openSUSE.
