<!-- SBZ_reproduce --> install the minimal selection with japanese support in 9.1 installation. the fixed package is submitted to 9.1 and STABLE trees. I think this is a bad idea. This makes security updates very diffycult. hmm, but forcing the installation XF86-libs is also a bad idea. dropping fbiterm from the selection is not possible, because otherwise yast would show only garbled letters. the required functions from libXfont are only bdf/pcf renderer. i can try to reduce this dependency by adding/modifying proper functions to fbiterm itself. Any Progress? no time for this yet. Any Progress? No. It's a low priority on my TODO list. If you think this a high priority, please assign this work to someone else (or convince Thorsten to accept the static link :) Any Progress? No. Add xterm author, Thomas Dickey <dickey@herndon4.his.com> to CC: Remove Thomas Dickey from CC: again, it was the wrong bug, sorry. (I hate it when bugzilla displays the "next bug in my list" automatically). 9.1 is dead, moving to 10.2 either close this bug or not. WONTFIX from my side WONTFIX. Closed. |
