Please provide the output of "rpm -q --changelog gnome-settings-daemon | head -n 10". Brandon: please verify rpm -q --changelog gnome-settings-daemon | head * Thu Oct 22 2009 mxwu@novell.com - Update spec file to add the missing BuildRequire of libcanberra-devel. Fix bnc#547565. If you do not have this entry, then that's the issue and it's a DUP of bug 547565. Where can I find this version of gnome-settings-daemon? Why is that gnome-settings-daemon not in Factory? See: http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/ http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/oss/suse/x86_64/gnome-settings-daemon-2.28.0-1.2.x86_64.rpm In Factory the package is listed as: gnome-settings-daemon-2.28.0-1.2.x86_64.rpm 12-Oct-2009 22:08 350K And on my machine I have this version: jenkins:/home/philips # rpm -q gnome-settings-daemon gnome-settings-daemon-2.28.0-1.2.x86_64 please provide the output of: rpm -q --changelog gnome-settings-daemon | head -n 10 The fix was pushed to 11.2. Due to the freeze priority of Factory is reduced compared to the 11.2 repo. (In reply to comment #4) > please provide the output of: > rpm -q --changelog gnome-settings-daemon | head -n 10 * Tue Sep 22 2009 dimstar@opensuse.org - Update to version 2.28.0: + Fix incomplete function declaration + bgo#578538 - Don't install the dummy plugin whilst keeping the Makefile.am almost intact for copy/paste + bgo#594617 - Fix Touchpad left-handed issues + bgo#404683 - Add sound effect to volume key handling + Remove useless custom eject icon + bgo#594821 - Validate xsettings GConf keys read from the configuration > The fix was pushed to 11.2. Due to the freeze priority of Factory is reduced > compared to the 11.2 repo. I thought that fixes should go into Factory first and then be pulled into 11.2. It is strange to have bugs fixed in one but not the other... particularly since we encourage people to test Factory and report bugs. well, the fix went first into GNOME:Factory, where it was tested, then it was forwarded to openSUSE:Factory and cherry picked into openSUSE:11.2 openSUSE:Factory has been heavily reduced in priority on the BuildService schediuler and as such there are packages not yet built / published in this repo that are in openSUSE 11.2 built/published. Nevertheless, not having that fix in your package confirms that we're seeing a duplicate of bug 547565 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 547565 *** |
