Petr: Sounds like a KDE4 issue, can you please check with Roman? Roman, could you please have a look? Will do. It appears that the items in the bottom bar are not redrawn on resize. This causes the gui elements to be redrawn but not the underlying text or icons. Under Gnome this issue doesn't take place, but I am sure you knew that since the comment of Jan Holesovsky, https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=558253#c1 I was repeatedly suggested by Petr Mladek, https://bugzilla.novell.com /show_bug.cgi?id=558250#c24, to remove or rename the file /usr/lib64/ooo3/basis-link/program/libvclplug_kde4lx.so. mv /usr/lib64/ooo3/basis-link/program/libvclplug_kde4lx.so /usr/lib64/ooo3/basis-link/program/libvclplug_kde4lx.so.bug548354 done. I don't know yet whether it solves my copy-cut-paste troubles (https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=558250), but it solves indeed this issue. Also, a funny comment: The OOo Splash seems a Flash after this mv. Thank you all. New OOo 3.2.0.5 at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/OpenOffice.org:/STABLE/openSUSE_11.2/ slightly improves the KDE 4 integration: in the bar are painted the loci for the functions, but the user has to click on them to the contents (language, insert mode, status) showed up. It is the same in 3.2.0.7. Still present in: OpenOffice.org 3.2.1 OOO320m17 (Build:9498) ooo-build 3.2.1.1 This is actually duplicate of the bug #567886 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 567886 *** Indeed, Bug 567886 / Bug 558253 seems to be solved with the new release from OBS. However, Bug 571373, on the OOo search dialog the user can't introduce a new work to search or to replace easily, is still present, but not at the same degree of hardening. Also, the Search box still "flicks" when chosen "More Options" before it be expanded stably. On issue referred as Bug 601243, OOo has issues while saving the files, and even crashes, after updating Java Runtime, I can not tell you yet. |
Created attachment 329363 [details] image ilustrating the issue: v. gr., there is no status motification (modified) about the document opened; nor scale control, page arrangement, insert mode, etc. viewable. User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; es-ES; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 SUSE/3.5.4-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.4 The OpenOffice.org suite that comes with openSuSE 11.2 Final does not have the "lower bar" properly working: does not indicates the document status, its magnification, the insert mode, etc. Some times, when clicking in the area where the control had to be placed, the control shows it self out. The problem is that you have to know that it exist and estimate where has to be placed to click on. There are certain controls that are redundantly placed on the, v. gr., Standard Bar, as the magnifier (Scale), Document Browser, Help. So, I disable there to gain more room for others that I use more, and access them through the "lower bar" (I don't know its real name) or throught the Browser Button down the vertical slider. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Just open a document with OOo. 2. 3. Actual Results: (see above) Expected Results: A functional "lower bar". Suggest me.
