What exactly is "the driver"? As far as I see we do not provide a driver for a "PP1530w" so that I assume you use a third-party driver. If yes, we cannot fix a third-party driver. Please ask those who made the third-party driver. This is related not to third party drivers: See http://forums.opensuse.org/hardware/420388-11-2-cups-ends-usr-lib-cups-filter-foomatic-rip-failed.html (11.1 worked fine and 11.2 milestone had proken cups or ghostscript) In 11.2 final still printing packages are broken (cups 1.3.11 or ghostscript-library-8.64):
Trying to print test page with "Minolta pagepro 1200W" gets error:
pagepro1200w-8 root 17408 Sun Jan 31 21:36:35 2010
printer pagepro1200w is idle. enabled since Sun Jan 31 21:36:36 2010
/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip failed
What exactly is "the driver"? We do not provide a driver for a "PP1530w". Which exact driver do you use? Excusez-moi, I should open new bug for another minolta printer... Just a blind guess: Depending on the driver perhaps your case is the same as http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=566312#c5 If in your case you also need a driver from the "filters" package, the "filters" package is no longer provided for openSUSE 11.2. In this case it should work when you install the "filters" package from openSUSE 11.1. Thanks, it is very useful information! |
