Description Thomas Schlicht 2009-12-01 22:48:48 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091103 SUSE/3.5.5-3.1 Firefox/3.5.5

Scanner Model: Brother-DCP 135C and MFC-215C. Printermodus works well.
The Scannermodus works in openSuse 11.1, but not in openSuse 11.2.
If I use a frontend like xsane or skanlite, the scan carriage starts to run, but after running 5 - 10 cm the progress bar in the frontends shows 100% and the carriage stops. Nothing happens now anymore, no crash, just nothing. I have to abbort the action.

Thanks
Thomas

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open i.e xsane
2. start to scan or prescan
3. wait
Actual Results:
I solved the problem temporarily with a downgrade of one package:
from libusb-0_1-4 0.1.13-2.2-i586
to libusb-0_1-4-0.1.12-139.1.1.i586.rpm (now used in openSuse 11.2)

Expected Results:
The scanner works well now in every resolution and colors.
