kcmshell4 fileshareset its file sharing configuring wizard, in which user is able to allow himself to share files using samba (and probably nfs).

without it, he can't use dolphin to share files.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run kde4. start dolphin.
2. select directory properties, go to 'share" tab.
3. try clicking [configure file sharing] and wait or type in terminal emulator "kcmshell4 fileshareset".
Actual Results:
no error appears. no responses.

Expected Results:
appearing of file sharing configuring wizard window.

kubuntu folks have probably already fixed it.
though the guide ( http://mugginix.com/articles/2009/Apr/19/Broken-File-Sharing/ ) doesn't help here.

a workaround is to use "net usershare", but this tool... sucks. treats its own parameters as comment for new created share and then forces user to dig into terminal and change a file in /var/lib/samba/usershares.

Why do we need such tutorials to have this stupid functionality work?

This bug appears to exist since ages on KDE4!

I cannot reproduce this with openSUSE 11.3. Closing as fixed, if you still have problems with this release please reopen.
