After updating to kernel 2.6.31.12 I get a segmentation fault during the shutdown process. All it says:

"
System will be halted immediately
Segmentation fault
"

Harddrives are shut down but computer stays on.

If any logs / information needed please let me know

Steps to Reproduce:
1. update to kernel 2.6.31.12

Actual Results:  
"segmentation fault" during shutdown process, computer stays on.

Expected Results:  
normal shutdown

Thanks for taking the time to report this problem. Let's investigate it in bug #578222.
